Who is a graduate trainee?
A
graduate trainee is commonly known as an individual taking part in a
trainee program or a graduate program within a company after having
graduated from university or college. A graduate trainee position is an
official employee of the firm that is being trained to the job he/she
was originally hired for. Basically, an employee in training.

RESPONSIBILITIES
A
graduate trainee is required to attend all their training classes which
give them basic information about various sectors of the company such
as management, operations, finance, banking etc.
A graduate trainee
may work under the supervision of senior employers and may be asked to
do research work for the company. They may be asked to document the
trend of the budget of the company and other such related work.
A graduate trainee may sometimes be required to visit different working fields in order to get on hand working experience.
A
graduate trainee may be required to make presentations which a training
session demands on the basis of which he or she may be evaluated.
A
graduate trainee has to pass the entire test in order to work for that
company and needs to show his or her competence for working.
A
graduate trainee may be asked to keep records for the company and may be
required to come up with new ideas for the improvement in the basic
conditions of the company.

EXPERIENCE:
Completion of one-year NYSC

Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
Recommends financial actions by analysing accounting options.
Summarizes
current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance
sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
Complies
with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying
existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and
advising management on needed actions.
Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Maintains
professional and technical knowledge by attending educational
workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal
networks; participating in professional societies.
Accomplishes the result by performing the duty.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIRED
B.Sc or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant discipline such as HR management or Business.
Professional Qualification:
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management at the minimum level of Associate is mandatory.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ post qualification cognate experience is required.
