ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The
Sales Leader (SL) plays a key role within the SSA GE Oil & Gas
Sales organization and impacts on the regions go-to-market strategy.
The
SL will be responsible for growing the Subsea System orders and
profitability across all Sub Sea Systems product lines and P&L’s.
The
SL will demonstrate leadership in managing new accounts penetration and
will maintain and grow wallet share whilst supporting the Subsea
product portfolio.
This person reports to the Subsea Systems Regional Leader.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify Subsea opportunities in Nigeria for all Subsea product lines: EPC, Offshore, Services
Develop
influential relationships with customers at all levels and develop
strategies to win profitable business from those customers
Overall responsibility for customer satisfaction
organize customer presentations, lead the capture strategy for Nigeria
Integrate
the technical support team and functions, including comm ops, finance,
product support, and others in the implementation of customer strategies
Develop customer strategies, campaign plans, and leadership in their execution
Determine
/ create customer needs, solve business problems through consultative
approach, develop marketing, sales and strategic business plans and be
responsible for delivering revenue and margin commitments
Responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of assigned accounts
Provide accurate forecasting and updates on opportunities through the use of sales tools such as SFDC
Ownership of receivables for assigned customers
Work with Quality and P&L’s to drive customer satisfaction, reduction in CIR’s and improved NPS
Maintain knowledge of market trends, customer requirements, competitor actions, and customer base
Serve as primary customer interface
Actively participate in GE Business Cycles, SII, GPB, NPI’s
Identify new market opportunities and cross-selling GE products.
Able
to generate credibility with key customers and to understand their
needs and solve their problems in an accurate and timely fashion

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or relevant business experience.
Proven experience in a sales or commercial role related capital equipment or associated services.
Previous Subsea Experience is a requirement.
Familiarity with commercial tools such as SalesForce.Com, pricing strategies/models.
Strong communicator, able to successfully manage multiple priorities for demanding internal and external stakeholders.
Proven ability in account management.
A valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate will be required (please indicate clearly on your resume).
Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in Nigeria.

Energy
Consulting is divided into four Practice Areas: Power Economics, Power
Systems Operation and Planning (PSOP), Global Power Projects, and
Software.
Our Power Economics team offers analyses focused on
understanding and study of the financial and physical operation of the
electric power systems including generation and grid planning, system
optimization, asset valuation, competitive power markets and energy
policy implications.
Our Power Systems Operation and Planning team
utilizes their deep knowledge of connected power grid planning, design,
operation, and life-cycle management, to offer customized solutions to

The Global Power Projects
group supports new and upgraded thermal power plants with grid code

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This
position is for a Technical Solutions Director/Principal Consultant
with a focus on Power Systems Operations & Planning, within Energy
Consulting, working across the organization
Support GE business
initiatives related to the systems equipment and services of the
business, and provide advisory services to our industry
Direct and perform power system analysis including: modeling, simulation, and evaluation of design alternatives
Lead the development/refinement of tools and techniques for power system simulation.
Effectively
communicate results to both internal and external executives by
preparing written detailed and summary reports and making presentations
describing analyses performed, solutions developed, and customer value
propositions
Identify and cultivate new customers and business
opportunities. Develop projects with customers; manage contracts to
ensure technical, schedule and cost objectives are met; actively
participate in identifying and cultivating new customers and business
opportunities; lead preparation of proposals; and make customer
presentations
Actively participate in strategic planning and
development of GE product/service offerings and support New
Product/Technology Introductions concurrent with GE business needs
Provide
mentoring and help develop/train less experienced staff in a working

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

At least 15 years of professional experience in engineering, product management or a related function

analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to lead
engineering / economics teams to high value technical / economic
solutions
Demonstrated capability to complete projects on-time and on-budget as either individual contributor or project manager
Proficiency with office productivity software e.g. MS Office, Visio, MS Project
