BACKGROUND
Palladium
Nigeria is recruiting a Workshop Coordination Consultant to administer
travel and logistics arrangements for a series of training events for
the Voluntary, Rights-Based Family Planning (VRBFP) project. The
consultant will support a total of 8 workshops conducted from February
to April/May 2017. Each workshop will last three days in total, and
serve up to 35 individuals (trainees). This is a part-time consulting
position?up to 50 days of support?based in Kaduna, reporting to the
VRBFP Training Officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks
Participate in workshop planning.
Act
as liaison between participants and hotel/venue on all logistics issues
relating to the workshop. This includes serving as the main point of
contact (telephone and in-person) for all trainees arriving/departing
the venue (evening and morning). Ensure smooth and timely check-in and
check-out.
Ensure that participants complete the registration process
on day-1 of each workshop event, complete the daily attendance sheet,
and submit the attendance sheet to Palladium Operations staff in Abuja.
Ensure
that complete documentations are received from all participants and
submitted to Palladium Operations staff in Abuja for proper
reimbursements and payments due them.
Ensure proper documentation of
daily proceedings including providing support for printings,
photocopies, etc. for the duration of the workshops.
Ensure safe keeping and availability of workshop materials for use during the workshops.
Support workshop set-up (registration desk, stuffing of trainee folders, name tag creation etc.), and close-out.
Liaise with venue catering staff for arrangement (and proper timing) of breakfasts, tea breaks, and lunches.
Other administrative and logistics duties as assigned by VRBFP Training Officer.

Minimum Education And Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Public Administration or related field.
A minimum of 3 years work-related experience.
Experience working with people in a customer service setting.
Excellent communication skills required, both written and oral in Hausa and English language.
Proven experience with workshop/training coordination and logistics.
