Situated on France Road, Sabon Gari in the heart of a populated busy business district, the concept was simply to create a home-friendly environment, located close to the business place but well suited to make one feel at home. Our goal is to serve quality freshly cooked meals or and to deliver same for your enjoyment during your lunch hour at the office or at the comfort of your home.

WAITERS AND WAITRESSES

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide excellent customer services that promote satisfaction
Greet customers and present menu
Make recommendations or share additional information upon request
Take and serve food/drinks orders and up-sell any additional products
Arrange table settings and maintain tables clean and tidy
Check products for quality and correct any problems that keep them from enjoying their meal/drink
Deliver checks and collect payments
Cooperate with all serving and kitchen staff
Follow all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines

REQUIREMENTS
Proven work experience as a waiter or waitress
Ability to develop constructive working and interpersonal relationships with colleagues and customers
Problem solving and decision making skills
Service orientation and excellent organizational skills
Hands on experience with cash register and any ordering information system
Active listening and effective communication skills
Good physical condition
food safety training will be considered a plus
Kano State residents referred

ASSISTANT COOK

We are looking for a skilled cook to assist our kitchen team, the ideal candidate for this position must have proven experience preparing African and continental dishes, enjoys working in a busy restaurant environment and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively. The incumbent must have proven experience in restaurant/Hotel industry and a passion for food prep and strong customer service.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
Collaborate with the kitchen team to prepare meals during our dining hours
Maintain accurate food inventories
Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
Rotate stock items as per established procedures
Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)

REQUIREMENTS
3+ years’ experience as a Cook in the restaurant/Hotel industry
Able to read and follow standardized recipes
Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
Excellent physical condition and stamina
Kano state residents preferred
