CHIEF TECHNOLOGIST
DUTIES
The Chief Technologist should be able to conceptualize and develop projects.
He/she should have overall supervision of all aspect of technologist work.
He/she should be able to perform any other duties as may be assigned to him/her.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant
should be holder of good Higher National Diploma (HND) at Credit level
in relevant discipline with at least eighteen (18) years post
qualification cognate experience.
There should be evidence of production or fabrication of three (3) functional projects in the relevant discipline.
Evidence of community service is an added advantage.
Membership of relevant professional body is mandatory.
QUALITIES:
Applicant must be a person of proven integrity.
He/she should have the ability for general supervision of all categories of staff.
CHIEF INSTRUCTOR
DUTIES
The Chief Instructor should assist the Head of Department in administrative work.
He/she should assist in overseeing the overall administration of the Department.
He/she should be able to perform any other duties as may be assigned to him/her.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant
should be a holder of Higher National Diploma (HND) at a minimum of
Credit level or equivalent qualification with a minimum of sixteen (16)
years cognate experience with proven evidence of outstanding
contributions to technical/vocational education.
He/she should show evidence of at least three (3) practical projects.
QUALITIES:
The Chief Instructor must be a person of proven integrity.
He/she should be able to carry out project work and supervising students’ projects.
He/she should possess ability to take on additional responsibilities.
CHIEF LIBRARIAN
DUTIES
The Chief Librarian should be able to assist the Polytechnic Librarian in the performance of his/her duties.
He/she should coordinate book selection and be ready in the production/maintenance of catalogue records.
He/she would teach on the use of Library.
He/she should assist in establishing cataloguing, classifications, reference and selection policies.
He/she should be able to perform any other duties as maybe assigned to him/her.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant
should be a holder of Ph.D. in Library Science with at least thirteen
(13) years post qualification cognate experience OR MLS with at least
seventeen (17) years post qualification cognate experience plus four (4)
Journal publications and three (3) Conference Papers; four (4) chapter
contributions or two (2) standard Textbooks. Evidence of community
service will be an added advantage.
Membership of relevant professional body is mandatory.
QUALITIES:
Applicant must be a person of proven integrity.
He/she would have the ability to collate library statistics/production of annual reports and other internal publications.
He/she should be able to head a Library Division.
He/she should have the ability of expanding and developing classification system.
PRINCIPAL LECTURER
DUTIES
The Principal Lecturer should be able to teach and examine students in his/her area of spe...ation.
He/she should take charge of major area of work and development of curricula.
He/she should be able to initiate and coordinate students and staff-based projects.
He/she should assist in the administration of the Department. He/she should be ready to head a Section/Unit.
He/she should be able to perform any other duties as maybe assigned to him/her.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant
should be a holder of Master’s Degree plus at least fifteen (15) years
teaching/research or industrial working experience.
Such a candidate
must have published a total of five (5) Conference/Seminar Papers, three
(3) Journal Articles accepted for publication or contribution of two
(2) chapters in a standard textbook.
In addition, candidate should
have five (5) papers read at national/international Conference/Seminar
and the following since last promotion:
Four (4) additional Papers/Articles published in reputable journal;
Five (4) meaningful Chapter contributions in standard textbook(s)
He/she must be registered with relevant professional body;

He/she should undertake and/or oversee projects, for, or on behalf of the Polytechnic.
He/she should have the ability to serve as external moderator or examiner in his/her area of specialization.
CHIEF LECTURER
DUTIES
The Chief Lecturer would perform the duties of Principal Lecturer at a higher level.
He should take responsibility for a major area of work and curriculum development.
He/she
should take direct responsibility for or overall administration of the
Department or assisting the Head of Department in the general
administration of the Department.
He/she should be ready to head a Section/Unit. He/she should be able to perform any other duties as maybe assigned to him/her.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant
should be a holder of Doctorate Degree in the relevant field(s) from a
recognised Institution with at least twelve (12) years of
teaching/applied research/industrial work experience or a holder of
Master’s Degree in relevant field plus at least fifteen (15) years post
qualification cognate experience.
In addition, candidate should have
five (5) papers read at national/international Conference/Seminar and
the following since last promotion:

The Chief Programmer/System Analyst should be able to compile and present reports of the Unit to the Director.
He/she should be able to take charge of computer and data processing development planning.
He/she should be ready to perform any other duties as may be assigned to him/her.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant
should be a holder of a good Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second Class
Lower Division) or Higher National Diploma (HND) at credit level in
Computer Science with at least seventeen (17) years post qualification
cognate/working experience OR a candidate possessing Master’s Degree in
Computer Science with at least fourteen (14) years’ post qualification
cognate experience or Doctorate Degree in Computer Science with at least
eleven (11) years cognate experience from a recognised institution.
Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. Computer Professional
Registration Council) is mandatory.
QUALITIES:
The Chief Confidential Secretary must be a person of proven integrity.
He/she should be able to display the ability of proper management of office environment.
He/she
must be intellectually and professionally sound and demonstrate
initiatives in the execution of responsibilities and also ensuring “on
the job training” for subordinates.
CHIEF CONFIDENTIAL SECRETARY
DUTIES
The Chief Confidential Secretary should be able to take charge of the office arrangements.
He/she should be able to supervise and coordinate the entire office.
He/she
should ensure effectiveness and efficiency in keeping security of
office records and equipment. He/she should be able to perform any other
duties as may be assigned to him/her.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant
should be a holder of a Higher National Diploma (HND) at credit level
in Office Technology and Management or its equivalent plus at least
seventeen (17) years post qualification cognate experience (membership
of a relevant professional body is mandatory).

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
DUTIES
The
Chief Executive Officer shall be responsible to the Registrar who is
the Chief Administrative Officer of the Institution for the day-to-day
administration of the Institution and shall perform such other duties as
the Registrar may from time to time assign of him/her.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant
should be a holder of Higher National Diploma at Credit level in
relevant discipline plus seventeen (17) years post qualification cognate
experience plus membership of a recognised and relevant professional
body. (Evidence of community service is an added advantage).
CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
DUTIES
The
Chief Accountant shall be responsible to the Bursar and assist in
planning, organising, directing and coordinating the financial system of
the Polytechnic.
He/she shall assist the Bursar in the
administration of the staff of the Bursary and shall head a section of
the Bursary Department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant
should be a holder of a good Bachelors degree (not below second class
lower division) or Higher National Diploma (HND) not below Lower credit
in Accountancy or Finance from a recognised institution of Higher
Learning with at least sixteen (16) years post qualification cognate
experience.
Membership of relevant professional body such as ICAN or ANAN.
QUALITIES:
Applicant must be a person of proven integrity.
He/she
must be intellectually and professionally sound and knowledgeable in
accounting and more importantly in the aspect of Tertiary Institution
records keeping and analysis.
He/she must be ready to take charge of a Section in the Bursary Department.
DEPUTY REGISTRAR
DUTIES
The
Deputy Registrar shall be responsible to the Registrar of the
Polytechnic for the day-to-day administration of the Institution and
shall also perform such other duties as the Registrar may from time to
time assign of him/her.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant
should be a holder of a good Honours Degree not below 2nd Class Lower
preferably in the Arts, Social Science or Humanities plus at least
sixteen (16) years post qualification cognate experience or Master’s
Degree in the relevant discipline plus at least thirteen (13) years post
qualification cognate experience, or a relevant Doctorate Degree plus
at least twelve (12) years post qualification cognate experience plus
membership of a recognised and relevant professional body. (Possession
of Masters Degree is an added advantage).
QUALITIES:
Applicant must be a person of proven integrity.
He/she
must be intellectually and professionally sound and knowledgeable in
the rules and regulations of Tertiary institution administration.
He/she
should display high technical competence organising ability and
readiness to assume full responsibility to run a Directorate.
He/she must be versed also in Public service rules.
He/she meat be responsible to the Registrar and assist effectively in the running of the affairs of the Polytechnic.
CHIEF AUDITOR
DUTIES
The
Chief Auditor shall be responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day
running of the internal Audit Unit of the Polytechnic and shall also
perform such other duties as the Rector may from time to time assign of
him/her.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicant
should be a holder of a good Bachelors degree (not below second class
lower division) or Higher National Diploma (HND) not below Lower credit
in Accountancy or Finance from a recognised institution of Higher
Learning with at least sixteen (16) years post qualification cognate
experience.
